It is a group intended to represent the broad school community and those persons closest to the students who will share responsibility for guiding the school toward continuous improvement. The district school board shall establish an advisory council for each school in the district and shall develop procedures for the election and appointment of advisory council members. Each school advisory council shall include in its name the words "school advisory council."

What is the role of the School Advisory Council?

The school advisory council is the sole body responsible for final decision making at the school relating to the implementation of the provisions of the school improvement plan. Each school advisory council shall assist in the annual preparation and evaluation of the school improvement plan. Each school advisory council shall assist in the preparation of the school's annual budget.

Our School Advisory Council members for Odenville Elementary were elected in the 2008-2009 school year and will serve in their position for the 2009-2010 school year.  If you need to contact any Advisory Council member, please feel free to click on their names below to email them with your questions, concerns, praises, and suggestions!
