School Counselor

Welcome to the Counselor's Page.  This is my 10th year as guidance counselor at Odenville Elementary School.  This is my 16th year in education.  I graduated from Southside High School and then attended Gadsden State Community College.  I completed my degree in Speech Langugae Pathology at Auburn University in 1993.  I hold a M.Ed. in School Counseling from Jacksonville State University. 

I am married to Brad Buckner.  We have three children, Bradlee- Paige (14  months), Logan (8) and Evan - Cole (9).   I enjoy outings with my family, digital scrapbooking and decorating my house.

  Along with my counseling duties, I am the 504 Coordinator and Testing Coordinator.  I also teach weekly character education classes during the teacher's data meeting times.  I do small group and individual counseling at the request of students, parents, and teachers.  Being a school counselor at OES is a very rewarding experience and I am blessed to work with precious students and a wonderful faculty!
