EL Instructor
Susan M. Hill, Ph.D.

This is Dr. Hill as a second grade student at Graymont Elementary in Birmingham, Alabama. At that time, I lived with my parents and older sister, Lynn. We had two dogs, Cookie and Jippy. During the week, I enjoyed Girl Scouts, piano and choir. My favorite things included playing in my playhouse, biking, skating and water-skiing.

Now, many years later, I have a Ph.D. in Early Childhood Education and lots of experience from little ones to college students. I just love teaching my English Learners here at OES!

This community has been home to my family for many years. Jim and I have raised our two children, Elizabeth and James, here; plus, a variety of dogs, cats, rabbits and other “critters!” Our latest addition is an (almost) Beagle named, Bud.

Other than friends and family, my interests at present revolve around Springville Baptist Church, Gideons Auxiliary and travel, whenever possible.

Any time that you would like to contact me, please send me an email at susan.hill@sccboe.org. Should you need to speak to a translator immediately, please contact any of these ladies; Theresa ( 306-2279 ), Maria ( 594-5348 ), or Faustina ( 256-538-9005 ) and they will be glad to help you.
